When I was about 20 a friend was getting married and I was asked to cater, they knew I was a foodie and took a chance on me. That was the first adrenaline high I ever got at work, it was so exciting I pursued that career path and went to college. Then was born The Cherry Tree Catering where I did off-premise catering for weddings and various business and social events. I was catering steady for Sable offshore energy and got the opportunity to feed 700 guests at their grand opening.
I had a take-out before but the unit was too small to expand with, so it was sold and I spent a few years in restaurants, resorts and doing event planning. This all brought me to finally building the mobile kitchen I needed to do great fast food, cater too hundreds and everything in between.
Street Eats isn’t just about street food, to me it’s that great food can be created in wonderfully unusual places. So next time you think “How can I feed these people?” think Street Eats!
